Lord,
Thank you for this day; help me to walk in wisdom and your direction today as I live. I need your strength and your guidance as I teach and raise these kids. Show me how to love each child individually. Sometimes I just don't know what they need or how I should be disciplining them, but you can help me. So I ask for wisdom today to handle each moment with grace, peace and a slow to anger heart. I don't want my children to remember the years that I yelled, I want them to remember the fun things we did. Give me some creative ideas and help me use my time with them wisely. I know they are only this age this one time. I don't want to miss it and regret.
I also give my dreams; I know you desire for me to dream dreams and see visions but right now I just seem to overloaded with junky dreams or overwhelming dreams. I ask that you would come in a like a flood and redeem my mind and my night sleep, and my day dreams as well. I need your dreams to control my night and my sleep. Without your rest I do not feel rested. Without your dreams I feel like I ran about all night. I know you have so much more in store for me in this area. Take this area, all of it. Consume it with your holy fire.
Lord, I lift up my family to you; I ask that you would continue to soften all my siblings hearts, draw them to do in all circumstances and situations that arises. Help me to see them through your eyes of love and not with my critical heart. I also lift up my Mom, give her strength and energy in this season to raise Molly and also give her and Dad wisdom to know what to do in regards to Trent and Izaak. There is something that needs to be done, but what, it still is a bit unclear. But you calm the storm, and you bring clarity, so I ask that you would do that in this situation. Thank you for caring for those boys and for my parents.
I also pray for Lael, she is on my heart constantly. I ask that you would meet her where she is and speak peace and wisdom to her heart, and restoration to the places that have been wiped out from this past season & trials. Continue to speak rest to her spirit and mind. I also lift up her brothers & her son, I ask that you would come and minister to them and their families, show them the way to you and the plans you have for their lives. Show them that it is so much better to walk this life with you than to walk it without you. Continue to pour your oil into Lael, and as she pours out into so many vessels that you would keep the oil flowing until she runs out of vessels to pour into. (Like 2 King 4).
2 King 4 -
“Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”
3 Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. 4 Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.”
5 She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. 6 When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.”
But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing.
7 She went and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left.”
Notes: The woman and her sons collected jars from their neighbors, pouring olive oil into them from their one flask. The olive oil was used for cooking, for lamps, and fuel. The oil stopped flowing only when they ran out of containers. The number of jars they gathered was an indication of their faith. God's provision was as large as their faith and willingness to obey, Beware of limiting God's blessing by a lack of faith and obedience. God is able to do immeasurably more than we all ask or imagine (Eph 3:20).
Habakkuk 3: 17 - Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vine; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation. The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He will make me as surefooted as a deer and bring me safely over the mountains.

The Widow’s Olive Oil
1 The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the LORD. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.” 2 Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?”“Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”
