Oh my heart aches for you my little one
My empty arms will not hold you here
But my heart will hold you until the time comes
When I will hold you in the presence of our Creator
I so longed for the day of your arrival
Yet that day came far too soon
You were so very small but I knew it was you
In my mind I picture what you're created like
Now I must wait, longer yes, but soon I will see
You my precious little one; oh how I long to meet
I cry as I think I won't have the chance to show you the stars
Nor the sea or the rainbow during a rainstorm
So promise me, my little one, that you will show them to me
As I know you already see it all with such clarity
Oh how I love you my sweet little one
I long to tell you those three precious words, one day I will
But for now I'll just ask our Creator to hold you 'til I get there

I was 7 weeks pregnant with Jayden.
